SARS CoV-2 transmission in music clubs

Article of the day – and bad news for music clubs: asymptomatically infected persons can transmit the virus as soon as 2 days after infection. Substantial exposure can even occur within a few hours. Nobuhiko Sugano and colleagues from Osaka/Japan describe 108 cases linked to 4 various music clubs. Fifty-one cases attended a live music club only once and all index cases for secondary transmission were asymptomatic at the time of contact with other people. Substantial exposure occurred within a few hours.
